WAYNE HARER WINS AWARD Mid-Day Toastmaster WAYNE B. HARER, CTM, was the "TOP C/I PRODUCER" for 1998 according to the January 22nd issue of Business First (The Greater Columbus Business Authority). C/I refers to the field of Commercial/Investment. WAYNE is executive vice president of Continental Real Estate where he specializes in tenant re-presentation and the sale, leasing and development of office buildings. WAYNE HARER is exclusive agent for the Arena District at Continental and was exclusive leasing rep-resentative for Continental Centre (formerly the Ameritech Building). CONGRATULATIONS, WAYNE!

BE SURE TO ENTER THE CONTESTS ON FEBRUARY 18th & 25th. MEMBERS OF MID-DAY TOASTMASTERS who have completed at least six Basic Manua1 Speeches are eligible and urged to compete in the CLUB SPEECH CONTEST February 18th (the Contest speech of 5-7 rninutes may be your sixth speech and included in pursuit of completing your Basic Manual). All members present on 2/18 and not competing will be asked to be Judges for this event. ALL MEMBERS of MID-DAY TOASTMASTERS are eligible and urged to compete in the CLUB EVALUATION CONTEST to be held on February 25th.. There will be one "Target Speaker" who will be evaluated (2-3 minutes) by each contestant. THE "TARGET SPEECH" WILL BE GIVEN BY THE WINNER OF THE CLUB SPEECH CONTEST. Those present and competing will be asked to serve as Judges for this contest.

MID-DAY OFFICERS ATTEND DISTRICT 40 TRAINING SESSION

President TOM HOOKER, CTM; Secretary RON CROW, CTM; Treasurer DEBRY MANDERS, CTM; and Sergeant at Arms BARBA CHUKO, CTM; attended the District 40 C Officer Mid-Winter Training Sessions held in Columbus on January 23rd. All said they enjoyed the opportunity to learn more about their officer responsibilities and they also appreciated the opportunity to exchange ideas with other Central Ohio Toastmasters.
